Decks that are more than 30″ above grade or attached to the house require a Building Permit. All other decks require a Zoning Permit.

Fences require a Zoning Permit and are allowed in all residential zoning districts under the following provisions: Fence Information. Information on locating property lines is available here:Â Property Lines.
Sheds that are over 200 square feet and built on site require a Building Permit.
Prefabricated sheds that are over 200 square feet require a Manufactured Structure Permit.
Sheds and other outdoor structures that are less than 200 square feet require a Zoning Permit Application.
All outdoor structures must meet the provisions of the Accessory Structures Ordinance.
